I so agree. I have a nice full giant book case filled with books and anyone with out something to put books in is judged pretty harshly by me. Even my kids have a nice big book case of their won filled with books.
This is me right now! I read a good book a few weeks ago and now I'm on the rebound, eating through books that suck but trying to find love in them. They leave me emptier. I love you Lexi.
Laci, you should read, 'My Name is Memory' by Ann Brashares. Yes, I know she wrote those Sisterhood of the torn pants books or something but this is a grown up book. Virtually no sex (because the main character and the one he loves live in separate times/lives) but it's a really good absorbing read. Not Christian in that it discusses the many lives of this character but it was worth reading. Really. My kids went hungry for like three days while I was reading it. Happy reading!
My favorite read as of late is/was "flunking sainthood" by Jana Riess.
I agree 100%. I still miss the "These is My Words" series! My SIL doesn't read and she is very vocal about it. I feel sorry for her when she opens her mouth. ;o/
I agree too! I also judge people by the books they like and don't like. i once heard two women in a used bookstore talking and the one said "Oh, this book is terrible… i couldn't even finish it" to the other. the book she was referring to was one i really enjoyed. Then she picked up another and said to her friend "This one was excellent!" and it was a book that was well written, but i hated it and was all pissed off during the whole long read. So, i thought to myself with an inward glare"I could never be friends with that woman"…. and i MEANT it LOL!
I so agree! And what crushes me is when I find that perfect book, and then find another, and yet another by that same author, and then…find out that author is DEAD!!! 😦
I have escaped from life more than a few times through the pages of a great book….not much in life is better than that!!

I love this so much. Couldn't agree more! I'm almost done with a series right now. Dying to finish, but hate the thought that it will be over. Why!!!???!!!
I totally feel the same way. The worst is when there is a series, and you read numbers 1-4 and number 5 doesn't come out for like, a whole year. THE. WORST. What have you read lately?
